Twelve people have been nominated for an election to fill 3 councillor vacancies in the town of Stephenville. This after nearly half the council resigned recently for various reasons. Names on the ballot will include Darren Roberts, Darrell Shelley, Gerard Pomeroy, Geoff Benoit, Ken Penton, Maurice Hynes, Patrick Mercer, Paul Green, Paul Grenier, Ray Tompkins, Tom O’Brien and Trevor Murphy. The by-election will be held March 6th.

Minor baseball field at Jubilee Field in Corner Brook to be named in honour of Rob Myrden tonight

Government announces $1.2M for Sport NL

Stephenville Ground Search and Rescue helps lost atv operator and passenger who spent the night in the woods
The driver contacted Bay St. George RCMP Friday around 5:45 p.m. and the next afternoon they were located with the help of Stephenville Ground Search and Rescue.
