    3 in Deer Lake and 1 in Corner Brook arrested with cocaine

    RCMP RNC JFO West searched a vehicle and a Corner Brook home.

    Four people in Deer Lake and Corner Brook are now facing drug trafficking charges.  The RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation (JFO) West conducted a traffic stop in Deer Lake this past Friday. Cpl Jolene Garland says 36-year-old Shamus Harris, 31-year-old Miranda Patey and 28-year-old Jake Williams, all of Deer Lake, were arrested She says they found crack cocaine and drug paraphernaiia. Cpl Garland says 30-year-old Alex Payne was arrested after they searched a Corner Brook home on Oake's Road. Payne has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
