$30 million ACAT Fund to support the Atlantic Tourism industry

    Funding is intended to increase marketing, drive yield, and expand. Gudie Hutchings says it’s about making our products better and better.

    Over the next couple of days Rural Economic Development and ACOA Minister Gudie Hutchings will be visiting various stakeholders on the east coast of NL. Minister Hutchings will make an announcement, alongside Minister Martinez Ferrada and the Tourism Minister Steve Crocker, announcing the details of a federal-provincial initiative to support the Atlantic Canada tourism industry. She says it’s a $30 million fund under ACAT to increase marketing, drive yield, and expand. Hutchings says it’s about making our products better and better. She will also meet with Minister Crocker and multiple NL Airport Authority representatives and other stakeholders to discuss air access in Newfoundland and Labrador.
