A huge boost for highway improvements.
$306 million dollars has been announced to expand the Trans Canada Highway by adding 2 divided highway sections. A 15 km section between Bishop’s Falls and Grand Falls-Windsor and a 40 km section beginning at Whitbourne and heading west. $20 million will be used to make a 15 km passing lane leaving Port aux Basques. These investments will help traffic flow and strengthen transportation connections.
