A 47 year old Corner Brook man has been charged with three counts of theft

    Police say a man had taken several items and fled from the area before the store had an opportunity to notify police.

    RNC were called out to a theft report at Murphy Square around 12:40 yesterday afternoon. Police say a man had taken several items and fled from the area before the store had an opportunity to notify police. CCTV footage was reviewed and the suspect was identified as a 47 year old Corner Brook man. Police located the man walking nearby and placed him under arrest. The male was searched and merchandise from another business in the Murphy Square area was located concealed on his person. Officers made contact with the business and viewed the CCTV footage which showed the man stealing the items. The same man was also wanted for a theft investigation that took place on the 5th of January. He has been charged with three counts of Theft under $5000 and released to appear in court at a later date. 

    Around 4:30 yesterday, RNC arrested a 28 year old Corner Brook man for repeated late sign-ins as per his court ordered release conditions. He was charged with Breaching his Release Order.
