Mayor Jim Parsons says it covers where the city is going, how it will be accomplished and organized, then there are specific development regulations that deal with what can go where.

Consultations have started in Corner Brook to gather feedback for the city’s new Integrated Municipal Service Plan or IMSP. Yesterday, a session with business owners was held and tonight at city hall, the general public will have a chance to have a say at what they feel should be in the final document. Mayor Jim Parsons says a review like this takes place every ten years and staff have completed a draft document. He says the planning process will be extensive once the draft is approved and says now is the time to provide feedback. Parsons says it covers where the city is going, how it will be accomplished and organized, then there are specific development regulations that deal with what can go where.

Tonight's public session gets underway 7 p.m. at city hall. The IMSP draft document can be viewed at  www.cornerbrookplan.ca.
