A post on Facebook today tells the story of a kidnapped dog in the Corner Brook area. A picture of the dog named Tia can be seen on the NLWest SPCA page. One of the pictures shows a woman taking the dog yesterday afternoon in the Clarence Street area. She was driving a silver honda accord, possibly a 2006 model, with pink rims. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tia’s owners at 709-632-4892.

The RNC pulled him over around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after getting a tip of a possible impaired driver at a convenience store on First Avenue.
Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP and Traffic Services West took three vehicles off the road and laid charges during a traffic initiative late last week.
On April 9th just after 9 a.m., police tried to stop an off-road vehicle on the Main Road in Oregans. The operator was not wearing a helmet, refused to stop and fled from police at a high rate of speed. The next day, RCMP arrested a 19-year-old man in Millville.
