Corner Brook Pulp and Paper’s 6-year forestry operating plan has been released with conditions.

A few west coast projects have gone through the environmental assessment phase and are ready to move forward. Corner Brook Pulp and Paper’s 6-year forestry operating plan has been released with conditions. The proponent must uphold commitments to mitigate environmental effects and create a greenhouse Gas management Plan. A 30-metre protective buffer is required around hydrometric stations and a minimum 50-metre no grubbing buffer is to be maintained from the high water mark of all scheduled salmon rivers. Elsewhere, a Flat Bay Brook Outfitters Lodge has been released with conditions. Geotechnical work on the Deer Lake Tailrace Bridge is ready to start.
