A Deer Lake woman is the new Ms. Canada. Amanda Kirkpatrick has won the national title of Ms. Canada United World 2023. The pageant was held in London, Ontario. Kirkpatrick says it all still feels like such a dream and she is thankful for all the support. She returned to Deer Lake last week and is working as a peer counselor. The 35 year old Ms. Canada worked in retail but realized what she really wanted to do is help people through counselling.
