The Corner Brook Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade is less than three weeks away. This year’s theme is “Characters of Christmas” and the parade will be held during the day. Co-chair Peter Saunders says bringing the daytime parade back is much safer and the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue will be there doing traffic control. Co-chair Jason Tarbett says 20 floats have registered so far and people can register at cbkinsmen@gmail.com. He says they’re still looking for candy donations to fill treat bags. They can be dropped off at Bayfm, Rideout Tools or Phonetech on Country Road. The parade will start from Cpl Pinksen Memorial Drive at 10 a.m. on December 7th.
