More than $25 million dollars for 147 projects will help modernize equipment and improve quality, productivity and sustainability. ACOA and Rural Economic Minister Gudie Hutchings made the announcement under the Atlantic Fisheries Fund. She says the fund was established in 2017 to last 7 years with $400 million dollars available. Hutchings says the federal government pays 70 percent with the remainder covered by the province.
