A Bay St. George man is facing a list of charges and remains in police custody. RCMP say thirty-one-year-old Tyler Bennett of Mattis Point was arrested on May 23rd on an outstanding warrant after fleeing into a wooded area of Stephenville Crossing. With the assistance of Police Service Dog Thor, Bennett was located in a tree and taken into custody. He is facing many break and enter related charges, robbery, and assault with a weapon charges in relation to multiple crimes throughout the Bay St George area.
