Bay St.George RCMP charge a man with impaired driving after clocking him doing more than double the speed limit

    Bay St. George RCMP noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, over 110 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone, near Point au Mal on Tuesday.

    A 24 year old man is facing an impaired driving charge after being picked up near Point au Mal on Tuesday. Bay St. George RCMP noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, over 110 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone, near the community. Police conducted a traffic stop and the driver showed signs of impairment. After failing a roadside breath test and tests at the detachment, the driver failed. He is due to appear in court at a later date.
