The youth, who is not permitted to be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was released from custody and is set to attend court at a later date.
A youth was arrested by Burin Peninsula RCMP on Friday following a traffic stop where a quantity of drugs, cash and contraband tobacco were found. RCMP seized a quantity of illicit mushrooms, more than 600 grams of illicit dried cannabis, more than 40 grams of suspected hashish, a quantity of various cannabis derivatives, THC vape pens and pods, more than $700.00 cash, a quantity of contraband tobacco and cigars, and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.
