BayFM flicked the switch on its new transmitter site Thursday morning, after some brief interruptions during which equipment and signal were tested by Industry Canada, the federal department that regulates radio.
The new signal will boost BayFM's signal from 50 watts to 2,760 watts and also increase the height of the antenna, all of which means a stronger signal and further range.
