Cape St. George will be a protected area

    The site was identified under the Wilderness and Ecological Reserve Advisory Council’s 2021 priority assessment

    Cape St. George is one of 10 areas of  this province that will be designated as a protected area. Priority is being placed on sites identified by the Wilderness and Ecological Reserve Advisory Council’s 2021 priority assessment. Site specific consultations will be held until 2026 with the public, Indigenous Groups and Organizations, municipalities and stakeholders
