Mayor Jim Parsons says it's very important to have representation on that board since it deals with garbage.
It’s been an issue at the past few Corner Brook council meetings, but a decision was finally made during Monday’s public meeting as to who will replace a vacancy seat on the Western Regional Service Board. Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson resigned from the position leaving only Councillor Pamela Gill as the city’s rep. Mayor Jim Parsons says Councillor Bill Griffin will now assume the role. He says it's very important to have representation on that board since it deals with garbage. Eligible members of Regional Service Boards are municipal councillors and persons serving on local service district committees.
