A total of 30 to 50 cms is expected.

The city of Corner Brook is bracing for the heavy snowfall that is hitting the area and will continue into tomorrow. A total of 30 to 50 cms is expected. Rod Follett is the Superintendent with Public Works. He says there were no major issues reported during the past two days of heavy rainfall and wind. With the heavy snowfall expected, the city snow removal equipment is gassed up and ready to go when needed. Follett says this time of year  there is expected to be an increase in traffic for last minute gifts and people need to plan ahead. Follett says if residents notice a dangerous or slippery area, call 637-1666 and let the city know about it. Meanwhile, due to the amount of rain over the past couple of days water levels are very high. As a precaution the Glynmill Inn Pond Trail is closed and the public is asked to stay away from headwalls, creeks, streams, and culverts.
