Margaret Bowater Park will be a busy place with plenty of winter activities.

Most businesses are closed today in observation of Corner Brook's winter civic holiday, but that doesn't mean you should stick around the house. It's also Family Fun Day as the 52nd Corner Brook Winter Carnival continues. It takes place from 1:30 until 4:30 today at Margaret Bowater Park.

Build a snow sculpture, or sit and enjoy the fire pit while you roast marshmallows. Mayor Jim Parsons says carnival is a great break during winter.

Today’s Family Fun Day will feature live music by Rob Gillard, pizza provided by Pizza Delight, and hot chocolate from Dominion. Register for the snow sculpture contest for a chance at some prizes. For the latest info on carnival events go to cornerbrookwintercarnival.ca
