The project is expected to be complete by the middle of next month.
Corner Brook city hall approved three change orders for the Mount Bernard Reconstruction Project totalling more than $88,000 during last night’s public meeting. The project is expected to be complete by the middle of next month. Some of the work includes installing catch basins, construction of a manhole at the intersection with Victoria Street as well as parts and labour to install a drop structure near the Law Courts. Councillor Bill Griffin asked how this could have been an oversight and Mayor Jim Parsons says sometimes they use guesswork. Aaron O’Brien is the city’s manager of Engineering Services. He says that was the intent of the project to tie in there. The Mount Bernard project is budgeted at nearly $10.5 million.
