Corner Brook council decides against a remote for in-person regular public meetings citing cost is high

    Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson says staff looked into this and advised that the cost would be quite high at over $96,000.

    Monday night’s meeting at Corner Brook city council ended with a discussion and decision on “requested information about the cost of setting up a hybrid remote for in-person council meetings.” Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson says staff looked into this and advised that the cost would be quite high at over $96,000. Mayor Jim Parsons says there is very little absenteeism with councillors attending the public meetings, which are only twice a month.
