Lieutenant Greg Dinney says over $30,000 in cash was donated from the community.

The Corner Brook Fire Department Toy Drive has been a huge success this year, even after thousands of dollars of toys were destroyed last month. Lieutenant Greg Dinney says over $30,000 in cash was donated from the community. He tells Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit the amount of toys collected was amazing and they have 250 children registered. Dinney says firefighters have a lot of fun getting the gifts wrapped and bagged. He says hampers will be available for pick up for those who registered at the Salvation Army Temple until 8 p.m. this evening and tomorrow.
