A Multi-Use Trail will provide a safe route for walkers and cyclists in this part of the City linking residential and commercial areas. In addition, to construct the multi-use trail, the intersections of Confederation Drive/CB Plaza and Confederation Drive/Maple Valley Road will be reconstructed.

Corner Brook city hall is going after funding for a couple of projects that involve walking. At Monday night’s public meeting, Councilor Charles Pender says the installation of a sidewalk along Country Road is long overdue but the total cost is about $2 million with the city paying 40 percent. The city is also looking for a financial boost to conduct a multi-use trail alongside Confederation Drive. Councilor Pamela Gill says this would provide an active transportation route in the City's East End. This Multi-Use Trail will provide a safe route for walkers and cyclists in this part of the City linking residential and commercial areas. In addition, to construct the multi-use trail, the intersections of Confederation Drive/CB Plaza and Confederation Drive/Maple Valley Road will be reconstructed. Applications for funding close next week
