The system reduces the risk of Ventilator Acquired Pneumonia.
Industry Minister Andrew Parsons has announced $149,000 for an innovative health tech startup in Corner Brook that is developing a solution for a common medical problem. The project creates a new position for a Clinical Study Coordinator also. Parsons says the company is known as Swiftsure Innovations. He says money will help with the second stage in the company’s development of its oral care system for ventilated patients, named SwishKit. The system reduces the risk of Ventilator Acquired Pneumonia. A $210,000 contribution from Swiftsure Innovations brings funding for the total project to $359,000.
