Parsons says for anyone who is familiar with services like Uber, it’s easy to understand why it’s so popular but Corner Brook depends on its Taxis
Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons says they’re still trying to determine how Government plans to approach ride sharing. Details were announced Monday and will include a clear set of rules to enable ride sharing services to operate safely in this province. Parsons says for anyone who is familiar with services like Uber, it’s easy to understand why it’s so popular but Corner Brook depends on its Taxis. He says he’s not sure if the market in Corner Brook is big enough for a service like Uber, but it’s a wait and see approach at this time.
