Byrne says work on the Lewin Parkway has caused delays but is something that needs to be fixed. He says the wait is a supply chain issue.
Corner Brook MHA Gerry Byrne is hopeful the Lewin Parkway bridge will be fixed soon. It’s creating headaches for motorists for some time and the wait is due to a bearing that needs to be fabricated overseas. Byrne says it’s caused delays but is something that needs to be fixed and the wait is a supply chain issue. He says another issue that needs to be fixed soon is the Massey Drive exit onto the Lewin Parkway. There was a mudslide in the area and the city’s main water piping is underneath. Byrne says it’s taken some time to reroute the piping. He says both issues need to be addressed as quickly as possible.
