Hike for hundreds in Corner Brook
June is Recreation month, a time to recognize the importance of being active and involved. Stephanie Bennett is the Recreation Supervisor with the City of Corner Brook. She says they have a challenge for everyone that can lead to a $300 prize by hiking 3 trails around the city and sending a picture of each trek. Gingerbread House at Valley Mall has delivered over 107,000 gits for children since starting in 1982
Last year, 353 toy hampers were handed out to people in the Corner Brook and Bay of Islands area and all gifts donated at the Gingerbread House stay in the community.
