Hike for hundreds in Corner Brook
June is Recreation month, a time to recognize the importance of being active and involved. Stephanie Bennett is the Recreation Supervisor with the City of Corner Brook. She says they have a challenge for everyone that can lead to a $300 prize by hiking 3 trails around the city and sending a picture of each trek. Town of Deer Lake is taking comments on the proposed development of row houses on Trailer Court Road
It would include two 7-unit and one 6-unit rowhouse on about 1.1 hectares of vacant land. Zoning would have to change from Commercial General and Residential Mini-Home to Residential High Density, and the maximum permitted size of a rowhouse would increase from four to eight units.
