Hike for hundreds in Corner Brook
June is Recreation month, a time to recognize the importance of being active and involved. Stephanie Bennett is the Recreation Supervisor with the City of Corner Brook. She says they have a challenge for everyone that can lead to a $300 prize by hiking 3 trails around the city and sending a picture of each trek. Justice Minister Helen Conway-Ottenheimer says a department official has been in contact with the Office of the High Sheriff and there will be sufficient sheriff's officers in Corner Brook for that trial.

Identified improvements include the recruitment and retention of sheriff’s officers and court officers, potential infrastructure changes, advanced use of technology and better access to justice.
