Corner Brook’s second cruise ship of the season is due in port around 11 o’clock this morning. The Regent Seven Seas Cruises Mariner left New York on June 2nd destined for the Corner Brook Port. Patti Ricketts is the Cruise Marketing Coordinator at the Corner Brook Port Corporation. She says the Mariner was here 7 years ago sailing into port for the first time in 2017 and has visited many times since. The ship is carrying 700 passengers and 459 crew members. Ricketts says this cruise ship season is shaping up to be another record year with 36 expected cruise ship calls until the end of the season on November 1st. More than 56,000 passengers and 23,000 crew are expected this season with three double ship days, and 10 first time cruise ship visits. The Mariner is due to leave port 8 o’clock tonight. It’s scheduled to arrive in Iceland on June 20th.
