Corner Brook taxi driver on the mend after being struck with a wine bottle

    A 24-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm .

    A Corner Brook taxi driver is on the mend after being struck with a wine bottle by a customer. RNC Cst James Cadigan says it happened on Central Street and the suspect fled on foot. He says they caught up with him and he has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. The 24 year old man is due to appear in court in October.
