Corner Brook taxi driver struck with a wine bottle

    received medical care for minor injuries.

    At 2:30 this morning, RNC were called to an assault on a taxi driver in Corner Brook. Police say a customer struck the taxi operator in the head with a wine bottle. He received medical care for minor injuries. The suspect fled on foot but was caught. The 24 year old man and has been charged with assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm. He will appear in court in October.
