Over 8 million dollars is available from government and the city’s share will be just over $3.5 million.
Corner Brook city hall has announced the 2023-2026 Capital Works funding from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure project. At Monday night’s council meeting, Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson says their letter was dated September 22nd stating over 8 million dollars is available and the city’s share will be just over $3.5 million. Chaisson says they actually knew about the funding in July and wondered why it took so long for the city to release it. Mayor Jim Parsons says they can’t release the information until permitted. The Mayor says items like this are dealt with behind the camera first.
