Corner Brook’s new City Manager is excited about what the future holds. Darren Charters had assumed the role since the passing of former city Manager Rodney Cumby. Charters has a Civil engineering degree but admits it’s his 25 years plus experience within the municipal sector that has prepared him for the job. Charters says he’s honored to be offered this position and says his main focus is to enable people in the city to be the best they can be. He says there is an amazing team at city hall. Charters has been working with the city since 2017 as the Director of Community Engineering, development and Planning.
