A man and a woman are facing charges after the RNC were called out to a number of consecutive thefts in Corner Brook. Cst James Cadigan says on Monday (Dec. 9), shortly after 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a theft that had just occurred at a business on Mill Road. The pair had fled in a vehicle after taking merchandise. Approximately 10 minutes later, the RNC received a report of another theft from a business on Murphy Square. Responding officers determined that it was the same male and a female involved, and they had once again left the area in a vehicle. A half hour later, the suspects were located in the vehicle in the area of Bannister’s Road and placed under arrest. The 35-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man have each been charged with two counts of theft.
