The environment, wind energy, and creating public dialogue will be the highlights at tonight’s Green Drinks Speakers session. The second series this year for the Western Environment Centre gets underway 7 o’clock at Bootleg Brew Co on West Street. Dr. Garrett Richards is a Professor at Grenfell Campus. He plans on speaking about wind energy and the environment and why more progress isn’t being made on environmental issues. Justin Brake is the editor in chief at the Independent. He will be speaking about encouraging public dialogue participation. Brake says independent media can bring something different to the discussion and we are living in a news desert given that during the last few years, newspapers in Corner Brook and Stephenville have been closed.
