Dave Elms is one of seven people to be invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador. Elms is no stranger to everyone in the city of Corner Brook, and his many years of being Leif the Lucky and member of the Corner Brook Winter Carnival for decades. He is being honoured in the Volunteerism c category. Rick Mercer, who is also no stranger, is being honoured for Communications. On October 4th, Government House will see seven people named in what will be the 16th investiture ceremony. Since the first appointments were made in 2004, the total number of recipients is 142.
