Doctors can now work in each of the Atlantic Provinces by opting into the Atlantic Physician Register.
For an annual fee of $500, doctors on the register would no longer be subject to locum or temporary licence fees. Premier Andrew Furey says the plan to improve health care in this province includes innovative solutions and close collaboration with stakeholders. He says the Atlantic Physician Register will help create tangible change for physicians and residents across our region.

Tip of a possible impaired driver
The RNC pulled him over around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after getting a tip of a possible impaired driver at a convenience store on First Avenue.
Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP and Traffic Services West took three vehicles off the road and laid charges during a traffic initiative late last week.
On April 9th just after 9 a.m., police tried to stop an off-road vehicle on the Main Road in Oregans. The operator was not wearing a helmet, refused to stop and fled from police at a high rate of speed. The next day, RCMP arrested a 19-year-old man in Millville.
At this week’s public meeting, Corner Brook city hall approved another change order for the Deep Gulch Culvert Replacement Project at a cost of over $91K.
This is the 26th change which brings the total of all the increases to more than $3M. Councllor Donna Luther asked if there is a limit to the number of change orders on projects.
