Fisheries Minister to speak at Fish Food and Allied Workers Union Convention in Gander today

    Gerry Byrne will address issues of corporate concentration, pathways for increasing processing capacity, and the union’s request to return to the collective bargaining process with a right to strike or lock-out.

    Fisheries Minister Gerry Byrne will speak at the Fish, Food, and Allied Workers (FFAW) Tri-annual Convention today beginning at 11:15 a.m. The convention is being held in Gander. Byrne will address issues of corporate concentration, pathways for increasing processing capacity, and the union’s request to return to the collective bargaining process with a right to strike or lock-out.
