Canada Parks Day is tomorrow and it means a free day at all provincial parks. The $10 daily vehicle permit fee will be waived for day use visitors. There are 32 Provincial Parks in the province. For more information about Provincial Parks, visit www.parksnl.ca.

The Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue was called in to help around 10:20 yesterday morning and about 20 members of the team showed up.

The driver, a 37-year-old man, and his passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime.
