Downey says he was approached by NL Tea Company to create a Sherman Downey Blend
Not much can beat a good cup of tea. Newfoundlanders are known for their love of Tetley and Red Rose, but Herbal teas are taking to the market in a big way. So, how about a good cup of herbal tea and some tunes by Sherman Downey? Or if you’re lucky enough to catch him, he’ll be travelling the province this summer in a camper, playing at all the nooks and crannies we call home, and handing out samples of the tea. Downey says he was approached by NL Tea Company to create a Sherman Downey Blend. He says it has orange peel, ginger, licorice, a bit of turmeric, and it's a real nice tea for the front porch this summer. Downey says the Front Porch Tea Tour will be in Mainland this weekend. He has 3 albums out now and the name of the tea, “Front Porch Tea’ is the name of a song on his latest album.
