Get ready to jig a few cod for the table, Recreational fishery starts Saturday

    The Recreational Groundfish Fishery will take place every Saturday, Sunday and Monday from July 1st,  up to and including September 4th,  and again from September 23rd to October 1st.

    This weekend, Newfoundlanders will be heading out on the water looking to jig a few cod for the table. The Recreational Groundfish Fishery will take place every Saturday, Sunday and Monday from July 1st,  up to and including September 4th,  and again from September 23rd to October 1st. Fishers have a daily bag limit of five groundfish per day and there is a boat limit of 15 fish when three or more people are fishing.
