It’s called Bottle Cove Chalets and Glamping and will be ready to open on Canada Day.
There’s a place in the Bay of Islands that attracts tourists from everywhere, just to see the beautiful sunsets. If you’re from Corner Brook, you more than likely have visited Bottle Cove in Lark Harbour. However, there aren’t many places to stay near the beach. That is until now. It’s called Bottle Cove Chalets and Glamping and will be ready to open on Canada Day. Co-owner Jessica Gilbert-Mollon says the chalet is eco-sized with an open concept that is wheelchair accessible with all the amenities, like a large 3-piece bath, queen size rustic log bed, washer and dryer, television, wall mounted fireplace, coffee station, wi-fi, patio and propane fire pit. Gilbert-Mollon says they also offer 3 beautiful glamping domes, with pillow top queen beds and an in-house toilet and sink with similar amenities. She says the outer Bay of Islands, and more specifically the Lark Harbour area remains untapped for tourism potential. She says Bottle Cove is famous for its’ natural beauty and this was needed. People line the parking lot every evening just to see the sunsets melting into the ocean. Gibert-Mollon and her husband have 3 children. She says it’s a special place they like to call home. They both grew up in Lark Harbour and have a strong local connection. They wanted to invest in the area and feel it has the potential to grow. Domes also include fishing rods, a stacked tackle box, and picnic basket for a hike to catch a trout off one of the many trails just outside your door. Worms can be found under a log or rock, or the local store sells them from a cooler.
