The Humber Valley Fruit Rescue Project is up and running for this year. Fruit is ripening and they would like to help you harvest it. The project is through the Western Environment Centre and is designed for people who have fruit trees or bushes, but no time to pick the bounty. WEC can be contacted and they will send in trained volunteers to safely pick it for you, and then split the harvest three ways (homeowner, volunteers, local organizations). It's a win-win-win.
