House fire in Stephenville claims the life of a woman in her eighties

    A Fire Scene Investigator with the Fire Services Division of Justice and Public Safety will be on  the scene today to continue with the investigation.

    A house fire in Stephenville Crossing has claimed the life of a woman in her eighties. Bay St. George RCMP got the call shortly after 3:30 Friday morning.  Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene on Seal Cove Road. The house was completely engulfed in flames.  The woman’s body was located inside the home by firefighters. A Fire Scene Investigator with the Fire Services Division of Justice and Public Safety will be on  the scene today to continue with the investigation.
