The Holidays can be a stressful and lonely time for some people and there are ways to help. Quinn Jesso is a mental health promotions coordinator with the Community Mental Health Initiative. She says there are things you can do and people need to remember that nothing is perfect. Jesso says it’s important to stay within your budget because at the end of the day, it’s about spending time with loved ones. She says adults forget what it was like to be a kid and it’s an important time of the year for the younger generation, with that first snowflake or snowman, and it’s important to connect with your inner child. The 811 provincial healthline offers support for those with a mental health crisis and is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
