World Energy GH2’s Project Nujio'qonik is just days away from finding out if their environment assessment will be accepted as is or if changes are necessary. Public comment on the proposed wind-energy development closed October 11th. Industry Minister Andrew Parsons says while he is unaware of when an announcement will come, the four projects that have been given the green light to advance to the environment assessment stage, are huge projects that would be Canada's first wind-to-hydrogen projects. He says these $66 billion projects will contribute about $230 billion into the GDP and $11-12 billion dollars in revenue to the province. Parsons says there’s huge potential but Nova Scotia is also moving full steam ahead on similar projects, as are some parts of North America. He says the revenue from projects will be used to pay for health care, education, social services and much more. Meanwhile, the Minister will address the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services Health Innovation Summit this afternoon in St. John’s. This year’s summit has the theme “Reimagining Patient-Centred Care through Innovation and Research.
