Deer Lake RCMP continue to investigate a weekend fire that destroyed a landmark in the town. The Driftwood Inn caught fire at about 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Upon arrival, police were informed that a woman had been treated for minor injuries by paramedics. Out of an abundance of caution due to a large propane tank on site, officers evacuated nearby residences.
