Irishtown-Summerside wants to form a funded recreation committee

    There will be a meeting for anyone interested on Sunday August 14th at the town hall starting at 7pm. 

    The Town of Irishtown-Summerside is looking to create a volunteer recreation committee. Mayor Barry Wheeler says they are in the process of forming and funding the new committee. He says volunteers will not be asked to fundraise. people who can start making plans on events in the town. Wheeler says rather than focus on fundraising, council would like to enable dedicated volunteers to build and maintain recreation programs. He says people can play any role they want. There will be a meeting for anyone interested on Sunday August 14th at the town hall starting at 7pm.
