    Last year, the city of Corner Brook delivered a balanced budget of slightly more than $37.4 million.

    It’s Budget Day in the city of Corner Brook. A public meeting will get underway at 7 this evening and will be broadcasted on Bayfm. Last year, the city of Corner Brook delivered a balanced budget of slightly more than $37.4 million. Mayor Jim Parsons says the city has to balance the budget and how to pay for everything, like fixing water pipes and clearing roads. He says one big change this year is the new recreation center, which will require staff and maintenance. Parsons says with an aging and growing community, recreation is very important.
