This is National Police Week. It’s a seven-day public awareness campaign designed to increase awareness and understanding between police and the communities they serve. The theme this year is “committed to serve,” which recognizes the oath officers take to keep people safe. RNC Chief Patrick Roche says “The RNC is a people-driven organization that is committed to serve and to work with community partners and residents for a stronger, safer and healthier community for all.” Tomorrow is Peace Officers’ Memorial Day.
