Learning Disabilities Association of Newfoundland and Labrador wins the 2024 Council of the Federation Literacy Award

    The association offers a wide range of services such as specialized tutoring for children and adults, support groups, screening, and community outreach programs.

    Government marked International Literacy Day, celebrated on September 8th, by celebrating the 2024 recipient of the Council of the Federation Literacy Award for Newfoundland and Labrador. The Learning Disabilities Association of Newfoundland and Labrador wins the  2024 Council of the Federation Literacy Award. The association offers a wide range of services such as specialized tutoring for children and adults, support groups, screening, and community outreach programs. These services are aimed at promoting awareness, providing resources, and advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with learning disabilities and their supporters. The Council of the Federation Literacy Award is marking 20 years of presenting this award in Canada. The award was created in 2004 to celebrate adult learners who undertake literacy training.
